Bristol’s MOULD have long been favourites of ours and now the post-punk three piece have announced their debut album ‘Hoping As A Coping Mechanism’ and shared a brand new single “Falling Posture.”

“Falling Posture” mixes cacophonous noise and rattling punk before taking an unexpected into slacker territory. Like many of MOULD’s tracks it borrows from lots of genres and styles and pieces them together in a unique and surprisingly well curated songs about ”the pressures of staying positive whilst being bombarded with life’s expectations,” as the bands vocalist/bassist Kane Eagle puts it.

Having previewed the single “Float” last November the full album, set for release on July 10th via 5dB Records, is full of “unrelenting bangers” over 13 tracks that explore the horrors of the outside world and the internal minefield of the brain. It’s a debut also captures the thrills of an explosive live band who’ve distilled and committed that rabid energy to tape.

Ahead of the album’s release the group head out on a UK headline tour next month, with further festival dates and new music lined up for release in the coming months.
