Charli XCX’s debut film acting outing, the A24 backed “The Moment”, has revealed it’s first key track from the score composed by A.G. Cook.
“Residue” is a cool, brooding dance club heartbeat that features a video of Charli, a tonne of look-e-like dancers and the inimitable Kylie Jenner. There’s a hard tone, a screen featuring phrases that allude to Charli’s critics and detractors as well as some directed at women in general. These also play with ‘real life’ and her in movie characters persona, and the way fame, notoriety and influence are key commodities, positive and negative.
A.G. Cook’s score for “The Moment (the Score)” comes out on 30th January and the film itself opens nationwide from 6th February.
